Help & Phone Settings

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Getting started

  1. Download The Executive Meditator from the App Store and sign in with the same email address you subscribed with.
  2. Set your awake hours. At least 5 hours is recommended.
  3. When your iPhone asks whether the app may send notifications, tap Allow. Reminders are how the program works, so without this nothing arrives.

Use the app on your iPhone, not your iPad

A reminder is a silent vibration, and an iPad cannot vibrate. Reminders also go to one device only: the one where you opened the app most recently. If you have it on both, open it on your iPhone last, or remove it from the iPad.

What to expect

  • A reminder arrives as a notification and your phone vibrates. It makes no sound. A second notification follows about 10 seconds later, so you never have to count.
  • Reminders come every hour in week 1, every 30 minutes in week 2, and every 15 minutes in week 3, only during your awake hours.
  • Your 21 days begin on the day you subscribe. After day 21 the cycle starts again by itself.

iPhone settings that reminders need

If reminders are not arriving, or arrive without a vibration, check each of these on your iPhone.

  • Allow Notifications

Settings → Notifications → Executive Meditator

    On

  • Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banners

    Same screen

    All three selected

  • Sounds

    Same screen

On. Reminders are silent, but the vibration depends on this.

  • Notification delivery

    Same screen

    Immediate, not Scheduled Summary

  • Do Not Disturb and other Focus modes

    Settings → Focus

Off, or Executive Meditator added to the allowed apps

  • Haptics

    Settings → Sounds & Haptics

    Always Play

  • Set Automatically

    Settings → General → Date & Time

On, so reminders follow your time zone

Inside the app, the Settings tab should show Push Notifications as On and an Awake Window that matches your day. Your phone also needs an internet connection, by Wi-Fi or mobile data.

If reminders stop arriving

  1. Go through the settings above.
  2. Make sure the app is up to date in the App Store.
  3. Close the app completely and open it again once. This registers your phone with us again.
  4. If you also have the app on an iPad, open it on your iPhone again. Reminders follow the device you opened most recently.

One thing that is normal: if you wear an Apple Watch, reminders go to the watch while your iPhone is locked, so you feel the tap on your wrist.

It helps if you tell us which iPhone you have, its iOS version (Settings → General → About), and what you saw on screen.
